Buying on EBAY- Skirt size question
Permalink Closed

I really want a brown leather skirt, but financially  I just can't justify the money.  So I fond one that I like on Ebay.  The waist measures 13.5 inches.  I measured my fabric skirts at home and most measure between 14 and 15 inches (depending on where they fall on the hips.) My jean size is a pretty consistent 27.

Having never owned a leather skirt, do you think a 27 inch waist (13.5 x2) will fit or stretch to fit (like leather shoes stretch when you wear them?)

In general, leather will stretch, but I'd be a little cautious with that size if all of your other skirts are 14-15.  Most skirts don't fall at your natural waist so unless you like wearing it that high, I'd pass

not really, leather is held by facing that should prevent stretching...it might be really really tight.

I ended up passing on it. Too iffy on a non-refundable item. I ended up getting a different leather skirt that measured 30 inches and it fits perfectly!
