work computer woes...

first of all it's a laptop, which i'm not used to; so i can't type. 2nd, there are about 1 million pop ups that i can't get to go away...  but i can deal with that.


but someone PLEASE tell me why everytime i click to get online, the stupid calculator comes up??!?!


it's driving me B-A-N-A-N-A-S !!!

Um, where do you work?  They need more tech staff.  My company has available hours at the moment

For the popups install a pop up blocker and that should help.  If they won't let you call IT so they can do it for you.


The calculator I have no clue.

If you're allowed to install anything, I'd get rid of Internet Explorer and install Firefox.


The calculator issue is a registry problem.  Signs that they didn't image the laptop properly.

OMG! The exact same thing has happened to me with my HOME laptop, the calculator kept popping up whenever I opened ANYTHING. It started about 2 days ago, LONG after I have had my laptop. I thought it was just me.  


Anyhoo, I didn't have norton anti-virus on my computer so I installed that last night and since then, no stupid calculator!  I just feel your pain though...
