ok, i'm kinda embarassed to post this, but my grandpa always asks my mom what we want for christmas around this time of the year. therefore, my mom always asks us what we want her to tell him...
so this year, the only things i can think of is is a robe and those space-vac storage bags (stupid, but i really want them).
the problem is that he got me the ugly grandma robe last year so i can't really ask for that, and the storage bags sound stupid, right? is it ok for her to suggest those? the ONLY other thing i can think of is black trouser socks cuz i hate spending money on them, but need them.
opinions?? in the past, he has gotten me a robe, blender, and camera (that i lost on NYE ).
thanks ladies!

this may be lame - but what about a GC to one of your fave stores? you could even ask for one to Bed Bath and Beyond or Linens and things so you can get your storage bags!
I think the space-storage bag sounds fine and it would probably be easy for him to get that (i.e. b/c it's not something he has to go pick out, like a robe). Aww, he sounds sweet!
shopgirl - this is a little off topic, but did you ever find a robe? If you're still looking, Gap has a ton of great robes in stores right now. I forget what they are called, but I bought one last year and it is the best robe ever. It's super soft and fluffy.
i was DYING for those space storage bags! mine kinda sucked; they always filled back up with air or ripped on something. i think they are alot more delicate than they look. the only space bag i like is the one for travel. you put your stuff in, roll it, and throw it in your suitcase. i'm thinking that maybe you should buy a small space bag and see if you like it. i got a whole bunch of them, and they were all in the trash within 4 days.

actually no. he likes us to open things, not envelopes. i think i might just ask my mom about it. my bf was no help.
shopchicago33... i'll have to look at those robes at Gap. i also really liked the butterfly one that someone posted. i had an old one in college that was pink with fish and bubbles so maybe that's why i like it.

ask for the robe. don't mean to rain on your parade, but: i was DYING for those space storage bags! mine kinda sucked; they always filled back up with air or ripped on something. i think they are alot more delicate than they look. the only space bag i like is the one for travel. you put your stuff in, roll it, and throw it in your suitcase. i'm thinking that maybe you should buy a small space bag and see if you like it. i got a whole bunch of them, and they were all in the trash within 4 days.
oh noooo. i'm not asking for a robe. first he'll know that i got rid of his, second, he'll give me a grandma one again. so that's not an option.
but do you remember the brand of the bags? i bought some cheapo ones from walmart for camping and they were awful. i was thinking of some that i saw on tv (i'm a sucker for infomercials).
