Outfit/Weather question for NYC late Oct.
Permalink Closed

My family is heading up to NYC for the weekend (Oct. 28-30) basically for sight seeing and the like. I've been there several times (never in Oct.) but some of the family has not.

What can I/we expect weather wise and how should we dress? I'm planning on wearing something I already have (sweater/jeans/sneakers and my trench coat for the wind), but what would be the best way to carry my cell phone and money, etc.? I don't want to have to worry about a purse.

What will the weather be like up there in another couple weeks?

Thanks!

weather.com is a great resource for trip planning:

Its chilly up here (although I am out in the suburbs). And windy!

I would bring layers! A light jacket, long sleeve shirts, etc.
You might want to carry a purse though, if it is warm then you can put your jacket in it. Actually, I don't know if I could ever go without a purse, so unfortunately I have no ideas on that.

It's funny, I would have thought you to be from NYC- being ManhattanMonkey! Have a great time!
