Gap Skirt - need ideas
Permalink Closed

I just bought this skirt yesterday on sale and need ideas on tops for it.  Back home they had it with this disaster of a shirt  and it was just all wrong on me!!

The girl at the gap here in houston that i was at was of no help at all and told me to go with a black sweater.  I want more than black in my closet!!!  Plus I just think this skirt would look cute with a colored top.

I was thinking something like this maybe:

Are there any other suggestions out there??

I think that pink sweater w/a white button up underneath would look cute with that skirt.  I actually think that skirt is very versatile.

I think it would look pretty with a lot of different colors. I tried to choose things conservative enough for your work environment, and not too expensive (everything's under $50).

I believe it was Halleybird who just got a teal cowl-neck, cap-sleeved sweater from Express this past weekend. I think something like that would look great with it! Do you have an Express near you, so you can go check it out?

Thanks yall.  I wanted to make sure I was on the right track here.

Lisa- I'm actually surprised how lax business casual around here can be.  I got assigned to a client where I can wear jeans every friday which is pretty rare so I got to buy new 7s and as long as there is a cardi/blazer cami's are ok to a certain degree.

That's good news! In that case, I think it could be cute with a graphic tee, cardi, fishnets and heels.

Oh, I LOVE your skirt, I'd wear it w/pink aslo, and burgundy (love those two colors together).

I think it would look cute with a fitted cardigan as well.

Thanks I hadn't thought of that one yet.  I actually have a teal set that might work.
