where to find practical but pretty bras?
Permalink Closed

I wear mostly t-shirt bras on a daily basis because I like the smooth look with my shirts but they are all pretty plain. I'm looking for t-shirt bras with a little lace or something pretty and sexy, and having a hard time! I don't want something super padded, not opposed to push-up, but I'm trying to be honest about my size and am afraid if I venture back into padded territory I won't come out again! (It was hard enough the first time!)  Any suggestions? I can't even remember good lingerie websites...figleaves.com?

Something kind of like this:

Figleaves is a good place; my fave is Bare Necessities.com. Both have great selections and great sales/promos. I am the same way with bras - - I want functional but pretty ones.

My absolute favorite bra is Dream Angels Demi from Vickie's. It is padded, but not to make you increase a cup size or anything. When I first bought this bra, I was wearing strictly unlined bras, but this one won me over. It comes in a ton of sizes, which is important to me cuz I wear a less common size.

I second pollyjean's suggestion. I think VS is great at doing stuff like this. VS is absolute crap at sizing people, but if you actually know your size and how a bra should fit, then I think their selection is right up your ally. Frederick's of Hollywood might have some stuff you like, too. I know they don't have the greatest reputation really, but they do have some bras that fit your description. Nordstrom has a pretty great selection, too.

If you do want to shop online, I like Figleaves.com, HerRoom.com, and BareNecessities.com.

You can checkout classicshapewear for more resources. I find it genuine and also cheap in price.
