I would like to get a gift for our nannies little boy, who is turning one this weekend. Our nanny has great style and a good eye for things, and is always telling me about the latest toys, etc., so I'm afraid to get him something that he might already have, such as the Leapfrog learning table (otherwise I'd love to get him that). I don't want to ask her what he already has b/c I want it to be a surprise. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know books are nice, but I want to get him something unique, and I can always add a cute book to the "main" gift. TIA!
I think a reading chair would be a really good pair with the book, you could also have it personalized with his name on it. My hubby's BFF gave our daughter one before her 1st B-day, and she loves that she has her own comfy chair to lounge in.
Where is that chair from? It is adorable! I would love to get one for my godson! He just turned 2.
That one is from Pottery Barn Kids, I know some people custom make them to sell on eBay, and other baby sites have similar ones too. The hubby's BFF bought, he bought it off some guy who was selling tons of them in the corner of a gas station. Here's a pic of it w/ Valerie makin a silly face:
What a cute idea! Thanks so much for the suggestion. It is probably a little more than I want to spend and I would definitely want to get it monogrammed which would take awhile (I need it today actually), but it's a great choice for other gifts that will definitely come up. Thanks!
