Ok.....so I think the new furball doesn't want to use the same box as my other cat.

For now I have another make shift box for her.........She peed on my kitchen floor (this is before I added a box). I;ve only had my cats as kittens first, literbox training them is a piece of cake. How do I get my four year cat to "go to potty"?

Any other tips on how I can make my 2 get along would be great.

Keep picking her up and scratching her paw in the litter in her box - she'll get it eventually.  Also, aso for helping them get along - equal attention, not forcing them to play/be together, and time are the only suggestions I can think of.

Well you should definately have two litter boxes--they won't necessarily each use only one, but it is a good idea to have as many boxes as you have cats.

You can try to keep her in a closed room with her food and litter box until she is used to it, then let her out to other areas of the house.

I have a 5 month old kitty and two freshly adopted 10 week olds. The key to having them all get along is TIME. You just have to let them hiss and growl at each other for a while, and then eventually they'll stop and just get along. Just try not to show preferential treatment to either of them.

As far as litterboxes go. I recommend having two. Some cats just don't like to use another kitty's litter pan. Once you get one set up, pick up your new cat and set her in the tray. That should be all you need to do (just don't relocate the box after you show her where it is). Good luck.

okay i know this sounds like total bs but seriously buy this thing!

it's called comfort zone and it has feliway in it. basically it mimics a cat's pheromone and it has a calming effect on cats. my two cats don't get along at all unless this is plugged in. my little guy also doesn't spray when this is plugged in. i swear it works! you must buy it. i know it just sounds like talk, but i swear when it's not in, my cats are monsters. we ran out like two weeks ago and since my kitten runs around like a nut and my big one is all bite-y and crazy. we have also had two sprayings since it's been unplugged!!!! i'm going to buy some today actually.
