Diet and Exercise 10/8-10/10
Permalink Closed

I think I may start posting on weekends too because that's when the bad time happens.

Saturday 10/8

B:  Cold Pizza

L/D:  Going away party at friends' house (her DH is going to Japan), a lot of dip, one fajita, and half a piece of lowfat cheesecake, 2 Mike's Cranberry Lemonade

E:  1 hour cardio (30 m stairmaster, 30 m elliptical)

Sunday 10/9

B:  Oatmeal

L:  Steamed Veggies and White Rice from chinese place and some crab rangoon

D:  Half a burger and fries.

E:  None

Monday 10/10

B:  Eggbeaters and Turkey bacon

L:  Leftover Burger

D:  Roast Beef and Potatoes

E:  I am supposed to have a session at the gym, but I am trapped at my house.  The roofers are here to clean the house, and they are set up in our driveway, and it would take them forever to take their stuff down for me to get out...so I am trapped

i was in ohio for the weekend and ate badly due to being on the road:

10/7: the worst eating day EVAH.  actually worst eating weekend EVAH.  i am kind of ashamed.

b:  chocolate glazed donut, coffee

l: italian sub and diet coke

snack: small fries and kids' size choc shake from mcdonalds (stress reliever from being in stop and go traffic for 3 hours)

dinner: wendy's mandarin chicken salad

e:none, we were in the car for 10 HOURS.  trust me, i was itching to run by the end of the day, but we got in at 1 am

10/8:

bf: none

l:  grilled cheese and cream of asparagus soup w/lemon merengue pie from grandparents' assisted living cafeteria.  probably enough fat for a whole day, and that was the healthiest choice there.

d: olive garden - eggplant parm, salad and two (2!) garlic breadsticks, glass of chianti

e: toured the assisted living facility

10/9:

bf: none

l: turkey w/mashed potatoes and gravy, pasta and vegetable salad, peanut butter chocolate pie.  cafeteria food strikes again.

snack: asian chicken salad on whole grain bread from au bon pain.

dinner: half mcdonald's cheeseburger, small fries

made it home at 9:30 pm, shared late night indulgence w/SO: ben & jerry's new york superfudge ice cream.

e: walked to store to buy said ice cream.  15 minutes total.

10/10: trying to get back to a normal routine

bf: none

l: red pepper crab soup, chopped salad, half chicken salad sandwich.  split chocolate brownie sundae 5 ways.

d: probably roast chicken and salad

e: 40 minute run

B: Fat free yogurt
L: Brown rice cakes with peanut butter
D: Kashi Heart to Heart with fat free milk
S: Hella Diet Coke
E: Today I actually attempted to run. I ran for 20 min, decided I was on the brink of death, and stopped. Then I had to walk all the way back. This just confirmed to me how much I HATE working out. I don't intend to attempt it again.

B: 2 pieces whole grain wheat toast w/real butter, 20oz skim latte

L: Turkey breast w/provolone on whole grain wheat bread, applesauce cup, exactly 32 pretzel sticks (yes, I counted them out so I'd only have one serving, lol )

D: 3oz chicken breast marinated in Italian dressing, grilled on GF grill, cottage cheese, green beans w/.5 tbsp margarine (yeah, I know it's bad), huge glass of ice water

E: Well, I did 20 mins of my 50 mins power yoga DVD and decided that my body was too sore from regular yoga yesterday, to continue. Also did about 75 crunches, and 25 of the Superman kick thing (for working your back)

I don't know that I'll keep up with this but I am trying to be healthier and maybe this will shame me into shaping up.

B: lots of cereal (Cascadian Farms' Hearty Morning mixed with bran flakes) and 1% milk
L: 3/4 of a veggie burger and about 6 waffle fries, 1/2 a can of Diet Coke
D: 1/2 a pita with fresh mozzarella, basil and tomatoes, unsweetened iced green tea, 5 Ruffles

I try to track my diet on mypyramidtracker.gov and apparently I need to eat some more protein and vegetables and obviously I've had no fruit today. I'll probably have an apple and cheese when I get home.

Oh and E is something that I rarely do but I did just add up the walking that I did before work and at lunch and it came out to at least 2 miles plus there are all those subway and office stairs that I climb so that's at least something.
