Wow - thanks Karina, I am honored!!

Yes - I want more children...one more - MAYBE two - my husband wants two - but I am not yet over the pain of the birth process to think of two more haha.

My fav. comfort food (ok this is gross but I love it) mashed potatoes with melted american on top and some red tobasco - I haven't had it in years come to think of it - maybe I ate it when I was dating

No flaming - I drive a black jeep grand cherokee - Between the baby and jenerations I need the room and I am not much of the minivan type. The good thing is I barely go anywhere anymore - I think in the past month I have filled my car once.

My fav. stores - that is hard one...I like to shop anywhere really - I do more searching for particular items that I have in mind then buy them when I see them, but I like stores like F21, old Navy for a quick fashion fix...Banana for classic items, Nordies, There is a shoe store near me I LOOOVE and can never walk out without at least 2 pairs, I love zappos for shoes too. I decided now that I need a totally new wardrobe to sort of reinvent myself - so I want to find some new, original places to shop. (and really I can never pass up a bargain so I love the discount stores too).

For home I LIVE by HOME magazine and try to find fun and different things for my house - but I also love pottery barn and crate and barrel. For food - Fairway market hands down has the BEST food!!!!! (do you have them in Jersey Karina??)

How did you meet Micah? we went to college together but we were both dating other people - we didn't even like eachother to be honest...then a few years after school we were both in the same summer share house and  I knew RIGHT AWAY that he was the one - he didn't - and wouldn't go out with me for months - one night I was so drunk - I told him to stop wasting time- that I was going to be his wife....as usual, I was right :)

When and how did you get into jewelry design? I always made little things for fun, one time a friend and I went to florida (we went to get away from a terrible ex of hers for a weekend) we collected shells on the beach and I made her a necklace with them - she wore it all the time and before I knew it I had orders for some...and things just took off from there.

What is your favorite material or stone (or whatever) to work with? I love all stones - I think gemstones are so breathtaking and part of nature that is so fascinating. But I also love the new sterling work I am doing - playing with metal is fun.

Favorite peice of jewelry? My personal fav. is my engagement ring. In addition to that, I was married in my great grandfathers wedding band - so that is my second fav. Funny enough - I am not much of a jewelry person and I wear really simple jewelry.

Favorite peice of clothing?  I don't ever really get attached to my clothes -  I like to change them too much - but I get super attached to my purses and shoes...my fav is of course my MJ stella - I still love it!

what are you most nervous about with having a newborn? SIds terrifies me - I am always nervous that she will spit up at night and choke on it - or cover her face with something - its the only thing I am crazy about - unfortunately it really messes up my sleep.

what's the thing that has surprised you the most about your husband since your little one arrived? Nothing he has done has really surprised me - I always knew he would be a great dad. What did surprise me is how much more I am in love with him...just when you think you love as much as you can - you find even more...it really pleasantly surprised me.

what's your guilty pleasure television show? I'm 30 years old - and I can watch road rules/real world challenges over and over and over and over.....

what activities did you do in h.s.? I was a dork - very involved in student government, volunteering, worked 2 jobs, things like that.

Favorite lazy day activity - Recently I love sundays around my house. Micha, Talia, Willie and I all curl up on the couch and watch football all day. (Now if the Jets would do a little better it would be nice) I usually cook dinner - it's just the perfect family day together.

Best childhood memory - I am really lucky - I have sooo many wonderful childhood memories  - too many to pinpoint one..but I can say this...every single one I have involves my dad. He was then and is now an amazing dad.

First kiss - yuck...on the front steps at my parents house with a boy named Scott. I just remember he put his toungue in my mouth and I thought it was the grooooossest thing ever. so funny.

Describe your happy place - My happy place is more a state of mind. I really love when there is no conflict or drama in my life. I am so over that and too old for it. I am also my happiest when I am creating...when I feel inspiried to create - draw, paint, make jewelry - whatever it is - I love being able to make beautiful things. And now of course - taking care of my daughter. Curling up with her at night after I feed her and she falls asleep on me - there is nothing in the world better than that.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be - The next big trip I am taking will be to Israel

Favorite movie - I love "Say anything" - not only because it is a good movie but because it brings me back to a great time in my life.

Favorite "real" restaurant - Ny has soo many great restaurants - but I have to say my fav. place EVER was in Boston - at the oak room. That was hands down the best meal I have ever had.

Favorite fast food - I am a sucker for a wendy's spicy chicken sandwhich

Any brothers & sisters? If yes, how many, how old? Yes, I have a younger brother who is 25 - he rocks!

Favorite nail polish! Dark - Essie Wicked is my fav. Light - Essie Ballet Slippers is classic

What has been the hardest thing to adjust to with being a new mom (besides no sleep )?  What has been the easiest?

Were you born and raised in NYC?  Lived anywhere else?

My Husband was born in Israel and lived there for many years - so not only am I bad because I am jewish and never been...but I am also bad because I have never seen where my husband was raised. His family is going next week - they begged us to come - but I couldn't imagine traveling with a 4 week old..next time we will go though - hopefully next year. Where did you live?

Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv. It's not so horrible to travel with a baby - my friend did it (she's also Israeli). Israelis are very open to babies - much more so than Americans in my humble opinion. The flight is a killer though, but it comes to an end eventually

BTW don't miss the Negev desert once you go. And the Dead Sea.

What has been the hardest thing to adjust to with being a new mom (besides no sleep )? The no sleep thing isn't as bad as everyone says actually  - I have to say the hardest thing is not having a schedule - and not being able to run out do errands - the first week I was home with her was a shock  - I just wanted my old life back, I was depressed about it - but then one day the mommy instinct just kicked in - and now I would not have it any other way.

What has been the easiest?  The easiest thing about being a mom is showing her love and affection - it's just so natural and easy - I feel like I have known her forever

Were you born and raised in NYC?  Lived anywhere else? I was born and raised on Long Island - I never lived anywhere else...to tell you the truth I am a total NYer - I LOVE it here - even though its so expensive, I don't think I'll ever leave. I am 20 minutes away from the heart of manhattan, 30 minutes from the beach - near the country, mountains, I feel like i have everything at my fingertips.

I don't mind traveling with her in general -but she is too young -she hasn't had any shots yet - plus I dont even have her birth certificate yet so I am not even sure I could travel with her out of the country.

I can't wait - the dead sea is a must on my list

I'm glad STer of the week is back!

Just a few questions:

1. As of this moment, what is one important lesson or bit of wisdom you want your little girl to know/learn in life?

2. What makes you happiest about being married?

3. How did you feel on your 30th birthday?

1. As of this moment, what is one important lesson or bit of wisdom you want your little girl to know/learn in life?  I think the most important thing is for her to do what makes her happy in life, I want her to follow her dreams and passions to the fullest extent.

2. What makes you happiest about being married? The support my husband gives me - he makes me feel I can accomplish anything in life - he always supports my dreams, and challenges me to be the best I can be.

3. How did you feel on your 30th birthday? Great...I am really excited about my 30's...I loved my 20's- but they were very turbulent I think - trying to find my way - now I feel more grounded so I can't wait to see what life has to offer...but 40 I am not looking forward to as much.

Hey jmr!  I usually don't have the time to read these but I'm sick with a cold and house bound today (it's nice actually) so I have more time to spend on ST (and Lucy's napping).  I've enjoyed reading your responses.  Let's see, here are a few:

1)  What is your favorite thing to do w/ your hubby on a date?

2)  What is your favorite band/type of music?

3) What is your favorite place to travel in the US?

4) What's your favorfite recipe?

1)  What is your favorite thing to do w/ your hubby on a date? I love when we get dressed up and go out to a romantic dinner. WE have a place we go to for special occassions that I just love -it's always super special when we go there.

2)  What is your favorite band/type of music? My music taste is really broad -I really like everything since I spend a lot of time in the car I listen to a lot of different stations. I can tell you my fav. CD for years has been couting crows - august and everything after

3) What is your favorite place to travel in the US? Without a doubt it has been Hawaii

4) What's your favorfite recipe? Thanks to Mikacat who provided me with a kick @ss pecan pie recipe - that is by far my fav. because it always gets rave reviews!
