I know what they look like on the model but I wanna see them on real world girls.  I think I will get them but I'm kinda going back and forth on them since they're expensive ( to me anyway).  Would they be work appropriate with a skirt or dress?

hmm, i wonder if any of the threadstyle girls have them?  i'll have to check, but i just wanted to bump this as well.  i'm worried about the same thing (being work appropriate) and i even tried them on!  i was wearing jeans though & hadn't shaved my legs so i didn't want to flash the male SA my hairiness!!  instead i tried them over my jeans, but now i'm wondering if they will fit under my work pants and how they will look w/ pants.  pretty much the only way i can justify the price is if i can wear them to work.  otherwise they will only be for weekends and i will still need a pair of dark brown shoes for work!

Same here Crystal, I don't think I'm gonna spend that kind of money on weekend shoes.  If they're not work appropriate, I'll just have to find some different dark brown boots and get those instead although I REALLY don't want to!  I think Bex has them, maybe she could post a picture of her wearing them.  I want these boots so bad!

I think they would as long as you don't need to stuff pants in them to make them fit.

I tried them on and I got them up 75% of the way up my (damned evil overly muscular) calves. Believe me, I would have bought them on the spot if they had gone up 100% of the way.

Lilykind, you're filipina right?  I think it's in our genes, these darned ultra muscular calves.  Sigh.  I love the look of tall boots, but I don't like any of the ones that have "extended" calf sizes.  I curse my muscular calves!

I don't know where the heck I got mine from...neither of my parents have huge calves. My calves are larger than my mom's, my dad's AND my weightlifting brother's!  I'm actually Thai/Chinese, but people ask me if I'm Filipina all the time. It's kinda funny...people have come up to me and spoken Tagalog before.

It's totally something I would do. But I'm crazy.

I really am not sure if the pants going over the boots will work, though. But I think you have to give it a shot IRL.

oh i thought i had them!!!  my SA at Nordstroms said they had them in choc. brown and then called to tell me that they didn't and they probably wouldn't be getting them at all due to some restrictions on the buying of them... w/e i just wanted my freaking boots.

so, unfotunately i can't post me in the boots.  however, i can tell you that they are somewhat slouchy around the ankle which some people might take issue with.  also, "miss sixty" is embroidered on the upper heel of the boot which kind of annoyed me.  i hate flashing "logos" on shoes.  and the "gills" on them actually have a different color underneath...  i think choc. brown has red which could be someone disconcerning to some people as well.

all in all though- i thought they looked hot on.  i have always knee boots that "fit" and were never loose.  i did have my Fryes stretched but i wanted them super loose on my calves.  the Miss Sixtys just "fit" and i would probably have to have them stretched in order to wear my jeans tucked in.  i am not sure how they would look after that due to the fact that they are already a bit slouchy.  something else for you to think about.

anyway, sorry for the dissertation on the fit of these boots.  but there you have it!

edited to add:
crystal: i think they would work over pants.  not slim fitting pants, but a wider leg pant for sure.

as for work appropriateness(sp?)- i would say that they would work- however i work in an extremely creative field so no matter what i wear- i don't get wierd looks!  so if depends on your work environment.
