Did anybody watch it last night? I was looking forward to it but missed it.  How was it?

Okay, Tuesday is once again becoming my night to stay home and watch tv.


I LOVE Commander in Chief. I was looking forward to it for two reasons: 1) the female prez thing and 2) Geena Davis, who I love.


Last week was great so I tuned in this week. And guess what? It was great too!


What happened last night... Speaker of the House guy (Donald Sutherland) wanted Prez to choose Tucker Baynes, an ex-OK gov, for VP. Prez didn't want to. Speaker leaked to the media that Baynes was the guy anyway. And then he leaked that Baynes had this big skeleton in his closet in the form of a sexual harassment suit. All so Prez would look silly and stupid. Prez instead looked great because she brought on some General or another as her pick for VP. Turns out, the General was her political foe in the prior election. He was the other guy's VP choice and they debated against each other. It was hella cool. (I'm such a dork!)


Daughter thought she lost her diary but turns out littlest daughter had actually found it. Press Secretary resigned. New press secretary hired - some girl that has been with the Prez's staff all along. She's sweet and cool. I like her.


Chief of Staff guy seems to be getting involved in some shady dealings with Speaker's people but I'm not sure if that's true or if I was just confused. Either way, that arc looks interesting.

I LOVED this show. We already have a show in that time slot - House (how sad is that) which we both love, so I never thought I'd get to see it. Well, last night the ball game was on so we watched it. Even my husband said he wanted to watch this & tivo House so we could watch both. I think on top of the female pres thing, I like the fact that she is an independent. So when someone says "it's a perfect opportunity for the party" she doesn't care! And I really believe some of the situations they put her in, like others leaking to the press & stepping on her toes to sway her decision, etc. - I think it's pretty realistic in why our government can't get a damn thing done on either side....

I'm hooked for sure.
