Basically, the problem is this: I ordered my Uggs last year (Classic Talls in Sand), and the smallest size they had at the time was a 5. I'm a 5.5 shoe normally, so when I got them, they were somewhat loose; not horrible, but not a perfect fit. I kept them, because it had taken me so long to get them and I really wanted them.
I have worn them, but I always do with socks. Even though that does make them fit slightly better, they're still a teeny bit loose.
This year, I get the Ugg catalog and see that they NOW offer my style in a size 4. I'm fairly certain that this size would fit me the way it's supposed to. I'm also more or less 100% sure that I'm going to buy this new size because I want my freakin boots to fit me properly.
The problem comes in with trying to figure out what to do with my current, size 5 boots when I get the new size. I have somebody interested in buying them, but responses are taking forever. If I do end up not selling my current pair, I have 2 scenarios I need to pick from on what to do:
1) Order a new pair, in the same color I currently have. I would then keep trying to sell my old ones, and if that doesn't work, use them as slippers in the house.
2) Order a new pair, but in the Chestnut color. I would also order extra insoles for my Sand pair (to help them fit better). I would wear the Sand color on days where the ground wasn't gross and the Chestnut ones when it was (since they're darker and would hide stains/water spots better).
Any opinions or advice? Which scenario do you think I should go with?
At this point, me spending $140 on another pair of Uggs isn't really fazing (sp?) me, so that's not a deciding factor.
I'm just a little ticked that they didn't make these things smaller last year when I ordered mine

I vote for #2, if it dosent faz (sp?) you to spend $ on another pair
I have both colors the sand and chestnut. I have 1 tall and 1 regular height. I love having 2 pairs to choose from. I do want to say that the chestnut still shows water spots. I thought the same as you but I quickly realized that they got dirty just as easy. It might just be me being picky because I love my uggs so much that I dont want them to get ruined too quickly.
I would order the inserts and see how they fit. If you still want another pair, and who wouldn't, them get the chestnut. Oh and I got mine in kid sizes when the womens were all sold out. They are less than 1 inch shorter than the womens. hth

I'm aiming for about half of the original price, since I only wore them about, maybe 20 times? They're in extremely good condition with no stains or spots...
I do know that the loose factor of my current pair bothers me, no matter how hard i try not to let it.
My goal is to sell them, but if I don't, I don't. I keep leaning towards keeping the pair of 5's as a nice, expensive slipper for my house, , and wearing a new pair for outside wear.
I will definitely let you know if she doesn't want them! I've already got pics too, so I wouldn't even need to retake them.
Perhaps I can tell her that I have someone else now interested so I'll need a decision soon, lol. You know, light the fire...
I am unsure about keeping my classic short uggs from Nordstrom. I bought two pairs of them in both orange and blue. Blue is lighter than I thought (not the pretty cornflower shade), and they are both sort of loose in size 8 (I'm usually an 8.5 or 9). I almost bought size 7, but the shade selection was not there.
Don't know if I can do better than 59.99 at Nordstrom. Now, the only shade available is white. Size 7 is gone. It figures
Are my boots worth keeping for bang around shoes/slippers??
