I ordered these shoes from shoes.com and when I tried them on they just did not fit right. The length is ok, but they swallow my foot and do not mold very well to it. Toe cleavage shows very badly too. Anyway, while I had them on my foot walking around in them, I stepped in a small puddle of water where I apparently had dropped some ice on the floor that had melted. Now the water spot on the bottom of the shoe will not dry out. It is only about and inch x inch wide, but it has been there for two weeks now. I really want to send them back for a refund, but their policy says they will not take damaged shoes. Is there anyway to dry this spot out and make it go away? I tried blow drying it and that doesn't work. Other than that spot on the bottom of one shoe, they are perfect. If not, do you think I should just try sending them back anyway and see what happens. If they don't take them, I will have to pay shipping for them to send back. Thanks. Here are the shoes:
So sorry to hear that they did not work for you...they sure do *look* cute. Maybe try some sort of powder on the spot to soak up the moisture. Then you could just brush it off.
Since you didn't wear them anywhere, I would just say that the spot was there when you received the shoes, and that's why you're returning them. Hope it works out for you!

Thanks for your suggestions. I tried using powder on the spot but it didn't work, but that was a great idea. Then I just decided to try the reverse. I took a bathcloth and wet the entire bottom of both shoes and it just blended in the spot. The next morning you could not even see that it was there and the soles looked perfect. I sent them back and just got an email saying they had credited my account.
