What the heck should I say?
Permalink Closed

I got an e-mail from the college I attended regarding the student-run advertising agency where I worked at in my last semester.   They are trying to compile information on alumni of the program (where we are now, how the agency helped us in our careers, etc). What the heck am I supposed to say to this?  I don't even have a decent job.  Should I just focus on my freelance writing and marketing manager for ST stuff (and maybe jewelry design) and disregard the hideous day job? I'm too embarassed to mention that.  Help! Thanks.

I think you should focus on the freelance writing, jewelry making, and marketing for ST.  Those are all very impressive.

Thanks.  I just don't want to mention the day job at all. I want to pretend it doesn't exist.

Then don't mention it.  It's not what you love to do, and it sounds like a year from now you won't be working there anyway, so I'd leave it off.

You don't have to do anything you don't want.  :)
