Anyone know how to tell if one is authentic? If it has an authenticity card does that automatically mean that the bag is authentic? I've never bought a designer handbag before so I might seem a tad clueless here.

Authenticity cards and tags can both be replicated. You can't trust those anymore.

I buy designer bags on ebay all the time. My best advice is go to Neimans and examine the bag yourself.. then you know what to look for in the pictures. Also, NEVER buy anything from a seller who has had even one customer question authenticity.. Chances are the customer is right..

Also make sure the seller takes returns. You can usually tell by the quality of the leather if the bag is real. Like if you get it home and it's not amazing quality.. chances are its fake and you should be able to return it!

Thanks for your reply Jocey, I read a million reviews of the paddingtons and now I think I can discern from the pictures most of the fakes. The auction I was considering had a fake! Boo. I'm glad I didn't bid anyways because I am kind of over the paddington now anyways, I still think it is pretty, but I found a similar chloe bag that is cheaper and I think will be much more suited to my tastes.

Ps. just wanted to ask you, on the bottom of your paddington there are 6 little feet correct? Are there any of the small studs on the bottom in addition to the little feet? Thanks.
