 2 weeks ago---we are really enjoying it. A little married CHinese couple teaches it and they are friggin hilarious with their accents and the way they speak so quickly to each other in Chinese. THey are teaching us customs and other things about CHina as well.


anyone else know any Chinese?

I don't know Chinese but my SIL speaks it fluently and she is taking more courses to prepare for her upcoming move to Malaysia.  Thanks for sharing that, it was interesting to read.  Glad you're enjoying your class!

I speak a little chinese, can't read or write though. How cute are you! So great that you are trying to learn for your daughter. Keep it up!

Wo hui jiang yi dien dien zhong wen. (I can speak a little Mandarin)

I'm Chinese but I'm not that fluent in mandarin. I am more fluent in Taiwanese. I took conversational Chinese in college for 2 years so I know how to speak/write/read a little Mandarin. I even went to Chinese school when I was little but the teachers were soooo mean so I hated it.
I can understand Mandarin more than I can speak it but I know the basics.
