What Do You Think of These Shoes?
Permalink Closed

These shoes arrived from Zappos today:

in black, not gold or that hideous fuchsia -

and I can't decide whether or not I like them. I like everything but the front vamp part. I need a mid-heel black dressy-ish shoe, and the price was right, but I don't know if I will send them back or not. They're comfortable, I just don't know if I like the vamp on my foot.

Thoughts?

I think the vamp is cool and different.  As long as they look fairly well made, I would keep them.

BUT, if you are going to question how they look on you every time you put them on, they'll probably sit in your closet collecting dust.  Maybe try them on with some outfits and/or wear them around the house for awhile and see how you feel about them?

I totally agree with this.  I think the vamp is cool, but if you don't like it you probably won't wear them.

I agree, wear them around the house and try them on with different outfits. I think the vamp detailing is a nice touch, but the other girls are right, if you don't like htem you'll never wear them.

Thanks, y'all!

I think the problem is that I like the *shoe*. I like the different vamp and the metallic heel. But I wear a size 10 shoe, and these make my feet look like skis...which is a look I generally try to avoid.

I will try them on with several outfits - I think they'd be fine with pants, but I am wanting them for skirts too. The only problem is that right now I have a painful heel blister from my "suffering for fashion" shoes that I wore all day Monday, so the slingback is too painful to play around with. Hopefully in a few days the blister will be much better.
