Lucky Mag - Checking in

I wanted to give the magazine a little time to produce a few issues with Brandon Holley at the helm before we jumped all over them.  Now that the spring (March) issue has been on newsstands for a few weeks, what are your thoughts on Lucky Mag so far?

What do you like/dislike so far?
What would you like to see changed?

I just renewed but haven't received any issues in about 2 months. I'm curious myself to see if renewing was a good idea. I'm hoping the new editor in chief kind of shakes things up. And I'm really hoping they forbid using the term "tough but sweet" for every third description.

So far, I've noticed a bit of a fresher perspective...less modern bohemian looks. Also, there is a ton more integration with the web and social media, plus opportunities for fashion and style bloggers. At first, I was apprehensive about this change in the masthead, but I have to say, I've found myself liking Lucky more over the past few months.

Maybe I will pick up a copy. I gave up my subscription a year or two ago. I was flagging less and less and found more and more items that I liked were out of my price range. I should give the new editor another try.

I agree with Kenzie about the stronger connection to technology.  I mean, what a perfect way for magazines to prove that they lead consumers to products than to offer that "text xxxx to buy."

Style-wise, I am noticing a fresher perspective.  The writing is much less frenetic and squealing, which makes me glad. There are so many more ways to connect with the magazine on a personal level - - focus on bloggers, featuring readers' moms/aunts/sisters on the last page, etc.

Overall, I'm happy so far.  I know it's still new, and I look forward to more changes in the future.

DITTO.  I also stopped subscribing a few years ago and haven't really missed it.  Most of what they featured didn't interest me and what I did like was wayyyy out of my price range.  I should pick up the new issue and give it another shot.
