I'm really craving some vests, but I can't find them anywhere!  Can you guys help me find some?  Preferably brick and mortar stores, thanks!  :)

i actually have had some vauge ideas of using tweed vests as a fun/sexy fall fashion look.  i bought two last week.  one from charlotte russe and the other from Level 10.  since they are a trendy item the cheapie teenagy stores are good for them. plus i actually looked at saks and neimans for some and i only saw one by mcqueen for $950.  the two vests from level 10 and charlotte russe were only $25 each, much more realistic for a seasonal trend IMO.  meanwhile if i really love the whole vest thing next fall more designers will probablly do them and i will spend no more then $600 to buy one.  one of the vests i got is a short tweed that is really fitted and kinda sexy.  the other is gray sort of edwardian civil war number.  i am looking forward to rocking them this fall.  HTH

Nordstrom has a ton of vests.  Most of these are in the BP section.

Thrift stores!

The trend hasn't hit on a mass level yet, I don't think, so I bet there are tons of cute vintage vests in thrift stores.

i've actually checked out some thrift stores and as with any vintage shopping it is hit or miss.  the biggest issue with thrift vests is the fit.  most thrift store/salvation army vests i've seen are the long boxy version from the late 80's early 90's. . .i don't know about anyone else but i am just not cool enough to figure out a way to wear those in the ironic fashionable carrie bradshaw way that i belive they need to be worn in.  personally to be able to pull the vest look off i need my vests to be really fitted and not toooooo short but slightly cropped.

Ha, I bought one a while ago that was by, jlo (shh!).  I've looked through thrift stores too, but haven’t found much that hasn’t been horribly accosted by the whole teacher-flower appliqués or isn’t a straight up tuxedo vest that should probably be in the little boys' section.

Id def. check out Charlotte Ruses & XXI.

Ok I forgot how to pretty up the link, but here is one from XXI.  I saw a lot of diff. ones in the store though.

Yeah, I guess I'll just have to wait until it hits "mass level" to get cute ones.  I have black and gray ones... but they're boring looking..

I saw some at Zara and BR, but they're like around $70. I would pay like $30 at the most.

Oh, I am so wanting a plain black vest right now!  I haven't looked around yet, but I am going to try some of the cheaper trendier places (Charlotte Russe, F21, maybe UO), because I probaly won't wear it often.  I am wondering if it is going to be difficult to find a plain black one though.

it means she doesn't want one that is online. she wants to actually physically go to the store and try some on. HTH
