cashmere at Target?

Women’s Isaac Mizrahi Heather Gray Cashmere Turtleneck Sweater  Target has this cashmere sweater for $49.99.  It is by Issac Mizrahi.  Has anyone seen it in person?  I am really tempted to get it, because I need a gray turtleneck.  I have never worn cashmere so can someone give me some pointers?

I have not seen it in person, but it's probably single ply, which is more affordable but not as soft and luxurious as double ply.  you can feel and see the difference, but it's still nice either way.

only pointer I can think of is do not dry clean it, handwashing is best keeping cashmere nice.

I haven't seen it, but it was in the fall vitals magazine and got a good review. I think it said it had a roomy cut and was very soft and cozy.

I bought a "cheaper" cashmere sweater last year at Kohl's. I hand wash it & it has held up pretty well, although I'm very scared of pilling because I hear cheap cashmere pills quickly. But of course some girls here said they paid a lot for cashmere & have had it pill as well.

For the price I'd try it - it's pretty & i bet it's soft.

I haven't seen it but I bought a cashmere scarf last year from IM's Target line and it's pretty nice and warm and hasn't aged at all. So I don't know about the sweater but the scarf did pretty well!!

I think most of the time (I'm sure there are many exceptions) you pay for what you get with cashmere. It's probably fine, but you just need to know that it's not going to be as soft or hold up as well as one from Banana or something. I actually had some cashmere gloves from Target last year that weren't that great, kinda itchy. I have gotten good cashmere from Costco though.
