Frye Boot Review...
Permalink Closed

Sorry, I forgot to do an actual post on these.  So here's my review.....

They Are HOT!

The day they arrived at the office and I tried them on, I was shocked - they wouldn't go on.  I freaked out and worried until I got home. It was like the ankle part was too small and my big size 6 feet wouldn't go in the boot.  Finally after 3-4 tugs, I got one on.  It zippened fine and I began to work on the other boot.  It probably took 6-7 tries to get it on.  I was really getting down! Then it went on, I zippened it and began wearing them around the house.  The hubby thought they were cute with my PJ'S. I wore them for about 15 min.  I took them off, which also took some struggling.  I then tried them back on again and it was still hard to get them on but you could tell the leather was stretching a bit.  So I did this about 3 times (put them on - took them off) and then the next afternoon, I did the same thing.  I haven't gotten to wear them yet (it's like 90 degress here), but I try them on all the time with my fall outfits and I love them.  There's no longer a struggle, they go on and off pretty easily.  I see me getting a lot of use out of them!

BTW - I ordered mine from shoeparlor.com (1st time I had tried this site) -It took two weeks to get them because they ship from Frye and they said that Frye is really backed up.  They were by far cheaper then anywhere else (only $205) and because it took so long for me to get them, they gave me an additional 10% off.  There website says there backordered until 8/30 but it said that when I ordered mine.  If you decide you want to try them out, call there 800# and ask if there in stock (I'm pretty sure they are).

Let me know if you have any questions!

I think I need the black ones too!!!

rar, I know there was some confusion about the color - I think it was these, either saddle or brown being shown on either site - were they what you wanted? (I'm assuming that yummy color you posted is what arrived...)

Yes, they are the color posted.  Different sites call if different things! I was in my local Dillards Dept. store and they had these in black.  They were like $260 but if you have one near by it may be worth stopping in to see them in person and then ordering them if you choose.

I'm having the same problem you had with my Frye Harness boots.  It's impossible for me to get my left one on and off easily (no problems with the right though), so it's good to hear they loosen up after a bit.  Thanks for the review!
