bridesmaid shoe question *edited*
Permalink Closed

I am going to be a bridesmaid on the 17th of this month. The bride is letting us pick out our own shoes and I am clueless. The dress is about ankle length and is royal blue with spagetti straps. I don't even know what color to wear and if they should be open or closed toe. Any advice would be great!

Thanks!!

Ok, so I am going to go with a silver strappy sandal. Has anyone seen any inexpensive cute ones? All the one's I am finding are either to expensive (I am on a budget, $35 or less) or really ugly.  Thanks!

I would go to a bridal store (or even payless) and pick a shoe from the dyeable section. Give them a swatch of your dress so they can match the colors and Voila! You have shoes to match your dress.

This is what has been customary in my bridesmaid experiences.

That's what I was thinking.  I think closed toed shoes might look weird w/ that length dress, and I think it's fine to wear open toed sandals, esp. since its not cold out yet.  I think silver and royal blue is a really pretty combination too.

Here are some that I've found between $35-50:

Bouquets Dayton$45--Zappos.com

Gold, but still cute and could be workable:Women's Mossimo Gold Pricilla Crocodile Pumps$19.99 at Target

$59 at Nine West

Just from looking around right now, there's not a lot of silver out there--maybe it's more of a summer color.  Bronze strappy sandals might work just as well and there may be a bit more to choose from right now in bronze.

Definitely hit up Ross, TJMaxx, Marshalls, and Nordstrom rack - I'm sure you could find something on sale/clearance since it's getting close to the end of the season.

I would think DSW might have something too.
