Hey everyone.  So sorry I have not posted but as you may know I live or should I say "lived" in New Orleans.  I wanted you all to know that I am fine and so is my family.  I would have never imagined in my lifetime I would I have been through more than one disaster - 9/11 and now this.  It is horrible to see your city gone, your home gone, your friend's homes gone, your office, everything gone.  I am very lucky and so are most of my friends we all have family that we are living with but we are all over the country now.  Something like this tragic event really makes you put your whole life into perspective.  You realize what is really important and what is not.  Having my family at my side has made it a millions time better.  When I left my home on Sunday monring, I took every photo in my house, my valuables, insurance papers and as much clothing as I could fit in my car.  My husband and I backed out of our driveway and prayed for the best.  I would have never guessed that my city would now be under water.


I will keep you all posted and new developments and please keep us all in your prayers.  I will be posting a website with pics later.

I am so happy that you are okay. I am so sorry about your house and other belonging, but the most important thing is that you are safe, and that you got out okay before the storm hit.

So glad to hear from you - I'm glad that you are physically ok. Let us know about your home, etc as soon as you know - in what area of NO do you live? Have you heard about the water levels in that area? I guess the forever optimist I'm hoping some parts will be ok but I know it's probably wishful thinking on my part. I have family / friends there as well and I know it's hard to find out any info - I was just wondering how much you knew....
