I heart Starbucks

I admit it: I looove Starbucks, I'd rather go out of my way to go to Starbucks than any other coffee place. So my mom is always giving me a hard time about it b/c she thinks its too expensive (I only treat myself about once a week) and any other place is "just as good". But I like Starbucks- the service is always great and my latte tastes identical everytime.

Well, today I needed an afternoon pick me up and the closest Starbucks is miles away, so I had to run down the street from work to a local joint. My Starbucks usual is a Venti Soy Tazo Chai Latte- $4.44

The same thing down the street at Wild Buffalo Cafe- $6.21!!! I just about cr@pped! And it wasn't even as good, they were a bit skimpy on the Chai mix.

So just as I've always known, I need-want-love Starbucks! Is that bad?

I'm not ashamed to say it:  I love Starbucks too!  They make great coffee and they treat their employees pretty well--part time employees get stock options and insurance after a certain amount of time there.

It doesn't hurt that I met my husband there too.  He used to work there and gave me free coffee cuz he thought I was cute.

I love Starbucks. I'm from Seattle, so I have to be loyal. I know the family who owns the company and they do a lot of charity stuff in Seattle. Starbucks just feels like home, and you always know what you're getting. Also, I've been going to Starbucks with my mom for as long as I can remember.

I love starbucks too. You are right about the predictability. I also love a few great local cafes, but if I am in an unknown area I would go straight to the chain. It funny that my SO's sister always makes fun of us for going to Starbucks, but she buys their coffee beans!

I love Starbucks too, but I am most loyal to the Second Cup, their lattes are good and about the same price. I don't get one every day, I usually just go for a regular (1.90 for a large) and their choices in the regular coffees are great, they always have about six differant types on the go (two flavors, a couple of dark roasts, maybe a couple medium roasts, a decaf, etc). Their Caramelo flavored beans are really good. I never liked plain flavored coffee til I had theirs. Okay, I may be risking expulsion from my beloved country but I like the Second Cup about a million times more than Tim's.( this is almost un-Canadian of me) This is the same as if Maddie said she didnt like Starbucks.

Hehehe when I was in Montreal I tried Tim Hortons and I had no clue what the fuss was about. I DID NOT like those Iced Caps that one of my Canadian friends was all proud of (he was anti-Starbucks though). Plus the doughnuts didn't hold a candle to Krispy Kreme.

I did really like Second Cup though. A group of us went there at like 1:30 am half drunk at the one on St. Denis. in Montreal...soooo good.

I looooove Starbucks so much, and I am so completely addicted.  I drink Grande Vanilla Lattes every single day - can't get through my day w/out it.  It's an expensive habit, but there's worse vices I could have..that's how I look at it.  And I love the people that work there.  Every day on my way into work I stop at one when I get off the train - they all know me by name, I don't even have to ask for my drink because they know it, and a lot of times, they only charge me half price

Yum, white chocolate mocha.....i can't wait until it drops to under 90 - 100 degrees so I'll be ok drinking coffee again. I do try to limit myself to only drinking it while shopping at Target. While it technically adds to my target bill, it's one of my favorite things to do - browse Target while drinking white choc mocha. Yum.

i always find when i order my chai at starbucks, it's different, not consistent.  i learned that you have to ask them not to use water (i guess some of them put in water).  anyways, a good chai will pick me up any day.  i also really like caribou.

Caramel Frappucino all the way, baby.  I may be a struggling single mom, but let me tell you...put one of those things in my grasping hand and I feel on top of the world.  That said, I do like the Tim Horton's Iced Capp for a quick cold one in the middle of a shopping day.  And nobody beats out Dunkin' Donuts for a plain old cup of coffee and donuts.  So sad though...there is only one DD in a 45 minute radius from me.  :(
