Has anyone worked for Neiman's or similar? I am really considering leaving corporate america and taking up a full time sales job at Neiman's..I don't think I can handle working 45+ hour weeks, plus commuting, and being a full time mom of 2... my friend works at NM and says she makes like $800 a week... is this really possible? I'll totally take the pay cut if this is true...

I think it's possible with commission. But just consider the hours you may have to work at the Holidays. Of course, being a sales associate is so much easier than being a manager. I just got a part-time job in retail b/c I need the extra cash and being a sales associate is pretty stress free.
I think it is a good idea as long as you have someone very flexible for child care. I could be wrong, but I think you will always have to work Saturdays and overtime at some point when you work retail. I bet you can make even more money working at the Dior boutique or other high end boutique within Neiman Marcus. The discounts would be wonderful!
