Did Anyone watch it? Any thoughts? I kept flipping back and forth. I thought it was a little crazy and kind of overdone. But that is just my opinion. Did anyone see JS, she looked like she was on something.

I watched the first hour until my HBO shows came on.  I did catch JS and she definitely looked like she was on something. It was like Ashlee was trying to reign her in and keep it under control.

i thought that they felt very disorganized and that diddy was just doing his thing- for some reason- i felt as though he wasn't really following whatever MTV had laid out for him to do... and that it was all about him whenever he was on stage- but w/e


JS def. was on something...  she was not right...


i can't wait to see what the gofugyourself website has to say about some of the outfits (thanks for coming in your swimsuit ms. longoria!)

Ugh - I thought they were horrible, I couldn't even bear to watch the whole thing.  Jessica Simpson definitely wasn't right and what the heck was she wearing?   Her whole bra was hanging out.  I thought the whole show was overdone.

I know!!! I was like, what exactly is this?? Why in the HELL would she wear that on stage??? We know Eva, you think your hot stuff, but hot people wear pants too. Celebs are going to such extremes to be, well, extreme, but come on, it's getting really rediculous. P Diddy was boring. I was not impressed.

At first I was kinda bummed knowing I'd miss the VMA's (we don't get MTV at my house), but now it sounds like I didn't miss much.


And what's the deal with Eva Longoria?  Am I the only person on the planet who doesn't understand why she's such a big deal?  She's cute and all, but I'd have a hard time saying she's hot, and her acting isn't that great.  I just feel like she's one of the most overexposed celebrities out there right now.

my two cents:


what was up with the whole R. Kelly in the closet thing.  it was awful and just painful to watch. 


 mariah carey and kelly clarkson really seemed to tone up overnight.


 hillary duff please change your stylist.


diddy stop throwing your money/watches around.  we get it, you're rich.   


and finally, i remember when i was younger how excited i would be to watch it and now, the only reason i watched it was because the bf went out of town and there was nothing else on (until Entourage came on)

i was flipping between that and Sabrina on some channel that was showing old movies.  I saw pieces (diddy talking about the evolution of his name and himself, um WHAT?  its not all about YOU) and the Coldplay performance (which I thought was really good but I lurve Coldplay)- didn't really see any outfits- just quick shot of JS wearing something odd.  I'll have to check some pics for the fashions.

I agree with everyone, when I was younger, I used to love watching the award shows, now I just casually flip them on when nothing else is on. It seems like they are way to extreme, and the people are way to rich. The time that i was watching it i was thinking how sad and out of touch these people are to reality, because while they are partying and spending thousands of dollars are nonsense people in Miss and LA are losing there houses and there lives are people thrown upside down. Sorry to get all deep, but I think it is just sad.


Q: did JS even come with Nick?

More to add after I saw some more pics:

Um, Nelly is all hardcore with his rapping and his HUGE diamond neclace and bracelet and...Batman Tank Top?!?!?!

And Ricky Martin got the night off from whatever restaurant employed by struggling actors and singers he works at now, dusted off his nicest sweater vest and white t-shirt, and graced the VMA's with his presence. (Wow, they must have been really hard up for presenters)

Carmen Electra is following in the go blonde and totally wash your face out fad and it's not pretty. I thought she looked 10 years older. I loved her with her spicy brunette hair!! Go back Carmen, Go back!

And then...Jessica Simpson... Someone please post a photo because my brain is scrambled when I think about it.....eyes hurt... french maid...bad scissor accident...OH THE HORROR!!!
P.S. Jessica, put down the eyeliner and step away, STEP AWAY!!!

The only part I really saw was the R. Kelly in the closet thing - I was laughing my a** off.  He's a strange bird.


Ooops, forgot to add that I was equally embarrassed for Jessica and Ashley trying to be hip to the whole dirty south genre.  Oh my God.

I completely agree that R Kelly thing was hilarious, they just played the tape of the "song" and he lip synched some of the words, he thought it was great and JS & Ash, OMG, did you see how she tried to dance?
