Since we're on fashion make-over shows....
Permalink Closed

Other than the one's mentioned in kaykay's thread from earlier, what other fashion make-over shows do you watch? I also watch (most of them are 30 min. skits) off Lifetime Head To Toe. That one is OK, not sure I could go a whole DAY w/out knowing what my friend (or the host) picked out for me (hair/clothes/make-up). LOL Then when I catch it, I'll also watch Full Frontal Fashion off the WE channel, and another one from TLC, A Makeover Story. Each one is different, I guess that's why I watch them. LOL YES - I ADMIT - I love watching any fashion show, any chance I get.....LOL I have issues.....LOL

What about you?

I love the Look for Less even though it's super cheesy and I don't really like Yoanna that much as a host.  I still watch it whenever it's on though, even if it's a rerun I have seen 123570239752093 times.

You know, I am still bummed out about what happened to the format of TLFL.  The first season they had it, it was like a little magazine show - they'd do a segment about how to shop for bargains at a given type of discount store (say at Wal-Mart, or at a swap meet, thrift store, etc) and then they'd give some famous person $100 to put together a cool outfit, and they'd have general tips for dressing on a budget.

Now they've got this stupid arbitrary time limit, the outfits always look cheap and crappy, and it's all mall shopping. It doesn't *teach* anything - it's just some dumb race against the clock where some poor thing ends out with a tacky outfit and learns nothing and neither do we. Yech.  It's worse than (now defunct - good riddance) Style Court!

I agree!  I loved when they gave the famous person $100- that was so fun!  The old eps. were better, but i dont agree that the new ones are worse than Style Court.  I hate that show.

Actually, lynnie, I think you're right.  NOTHING is worse than Style Court...

TLFL = The Look For Less.  And yes, Style Court is THAT bad.  It makes me cringe and the clothes are really cheap-looking.  Often I am not sure if the person actually was better off before, because at least they weren't trying to look like ass.

you are so right about TLFL.  i hadn't seen it in a loooooooooong time and i just watched it this past week again and i was dissapointed in the format.  i kept waiting for them to do the other segments like they used to and they never did.

although- i was digging the fact that they were in Columbus, OH (where i am) for the show i watched.  but they could have done a lot better on their choices as to where they were shopping!
