i need your help.

i currently serve on my community theatre board and act as their chair on the grants committee.

i enjoyed it when i worked a 9-5 job in the community.  but since jan. i have worked in a job where i travel constantly so when i am home, i want to be home and not going to a board meeting that is boring and the people fight with each other and lasts around 2 hours each time.

so, i want to put in my letter of resignation to them.  but everything i word sounds so trite and flippant.  can someone help me out?  so far i have:

After careful consideration, I am resigning from the Community Theatre board.  I have wrestled with this decision for quite some time, but with my travel for work and moving to Columbus later this year,  I feel that I haven't been able to contribute 100% to the board in the past year.

thanks!!!!!
