My first Day!

I started today at my new job and I am silently dying here.  Training is so boring  but we get to use AIM and their own message program so its keeping me entertained.  I'm also meeting people from my office which is neat - like instant friends since we are all new and new to Houston.  Hopefully everything else will be fun and I'll like this job.  Crossing my fingers.

we are learning how to use lotus notes today.  Ever since 8:30 am.  So long and boring.  No one knows what the heck this guy is talking about.  I'm glad training doesn't really matter.

LOL - i use Lotus Notes at work..how boring to be trained on it - yuck!


I'm glad you started your new job though.  Good for you!  When are you coming to Chicago for your training?

I'm in Chicago right now.  Well actually St. Charles but we are going as a group to downtown chicago on Sat and then me and some of the people I met here are talking about taking the L back to Chicago and going out and maybe scalping tickets to the cubs on Sunday.  Not sure though.

I so understand what you are going through - I had to do a 6 week training class and man did it suck! But the new people thing is fun! So these new people - are they all going to be in Houston? Or are you working for a company that will send those people to different places? Just curious - but I'm glad / hoping some of them will be in Houston so then you will know some people - so exciting! how long will you be there?

And of course the question we all want to know - are you going to do some shopping while you are there?

Yay! Congrats. I am glad you're meeting people. I used to use Lotus notes too...I can't believe they spent that long going over it! LOL

Most of the people I'm meeting and hanging out with are from the Houston office so I'll have people there to do stuff with.  I've also met a few people from Boston, NYC, and Cali so if I go on vacation out there I'll have people to call up and meet


Shopping- we are pretty booked up so I'm not sure if I'll be able to.  I'll definetly post if I go.


We are still on Notes today.

How funny is that?? I use lotus notes and on my first day they were like "This is our email system" That was the gist of my training!! lol Hang in there. At least you get to chat online and still go on ST. Have fun in Chicago!!
