Tights OK in the upper 60's?
Permalink Closed

I have to lector at mass tomorrow and have put away most of my nicer warm weather shoes.  It's supposed to be a high of 69 degrees tomorrow.  I have this purple knit dress that's short sleeved, but a little too short (about 2 inches above the knee) to wear with boots without tights (at least on the altar.  I'd probably bare leg it if I was going out to dinner.).  Would it look odd to wear tights when it's sunny and in the upper 60's?

I was thinking black textured tights and my black heeled tall boots.

I think you are fine with tights as long as they are not too thick/wintery looking. I'm wondering about knee high boots with a short sleeved dress though? Maybe a bootie or high heeled shoe instead?

I think it sounds cute and would be appropriate for a church.  The short sleeves will keep it from being too heavy, and tights are fine in the fall/winter in my opinion, even on sunny days.

Thanks guys! I'm doing this as a last minute favor for somebody who can't make their mass and I'll just make it home from a 10 year old's football game in time to get ready. I feel better knowing I already have what I'm going to wear picked out.
