Isn't there something somewhere that says if you do any one thing for a certain amount of days or weeks then it can be considered a 'habit'?

Hmmm... I think it's 28 days but I'm not sure if I made that up or not. I know it takes a lot less than that to create a bad habit. And I've never gone to the gym 28 days in a row so that might explain a lot...

I thought I read that you could subconsciously create a habit over the course of time but I forget when.

I'm trying to create a new lifestyle with better eating habits, I'm waiting for it to kick in. Its been almost 3 weeks. Hahahahah...

for some reason 7 is sticking in my head... maybe 7 weeks? or 27 days? I'll see if I can find it.

edit: ok, according to webmd re:exercise, it takes 3 months of repetition to form a habit.
