When do you you stop shopping....

I don't think that there is an age where you need stop shopping certain places. As long as the way you wear things is age appropriate and no one could mistake you for your niece's friend (or whoever), then I think it's fine. It's all in how you wear it.

Yeah, I kind of figured as much, it just cracked me up at how much FUN they made of her for still shopping there, but I admit, some of her choice were too young for her, so like you said - as long as it looks good and how you wear it, WHO CARES what dept. you shop in! LOL

I'm 25 and still shop in the juniors department (Nordstrom has the best, followed by the Dillards in Tampa but that's rare because Dillards usually sucks), Forever 21, Delias, Alloy, Rampage, and Charlotte Russe.

I don't buy full outfits at these stores, just individual pieces that are usually trendy and meant for one season only. Plus, everything's so cheap and the clothes fit me so I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

I'm 16 and I shop in the girls' department (pants, I'm short), juniors, and misses (skirts). It all depends on the piece.

it all depends on the clothes. as long as they fit correctly and you look your age, shop whever you want! I have a few polos from the girls dept. in Target that I love and I shop in junior's at neimans and nordstrom all the time.

I'm 37 and I still shop Juniors sometimes. The Dillard's near me has a great juniors dept. and I can pick up cord blazers, cute little skirts, camis for layering - sometimes; usu. IME Juniors clothing is cut for less...um, chesty girls - all at budget-conscious prices.

Friends are always amazed when they ask "where did you get that?" and I tell 'em it's from the Juniors department!

I agree with everyone else here.. I think the thing is you can look age-inappropriate shopping anywhere and I feel like the same is true of the reverse. It's just about knowing what looks your age not where it's from.

Yeah, same here. Plus, I find the junior sizing fits me better because I am short.

It depends on the store. Nordstroms has some more sophisticated tastes than JCpenney or Sears. My Macy's doesn't even have good juniors apparel, so will add that store to the bad list. There are a few ladies I notice always shopping the juniors. Some of them look ridiculous in it, some pull it off. If I don't put on some weight by the time I'm 30, my shopping choices will be very limited.

My mom will be 63 in a month and she still shops in the Juniors department because she's really petite and she buys basic layering pieces like turtleneck sweaters or something there. They're cheaper than the ones in her old-lady department and cute more for her figure so why not? How's anyone gonna know where something is from unless you tell them, right?

I unfortunately have a huge butt and huge rack that seem to get in the way of making endless purchases in the Juniors department, but I certainly look and try stuff on there all the time. Nordie's BP is my fave hands down though.

I still tirelessly shop the girls' department at lots of stores though like Target and Old Navy. Also, the best denim blazer I have ever come up has been in the Old Navy girls department...it was perfectly proportioned for me! Plus I always take a look in kids shoes even though I'm female and 20 (and I'm not toting little kids around). Kids shoes are how I can save on sneakers since I just buy a boy's 6 (womens' 7.5 - 8) and it's like 20 bucks cheaper than the same exact style for women.
