2nd Date!! Coldplay ... what to wear?
Permalink Closed

Thanks for those who helped me with my outfit for my date last night.

It was awesome ... he looks EXACTLY like Stephen from "Laguna Beach" and he's taking me to see Coldplay this weekend!

We'll probably be sitting in the grass for the show.

Do I wear jeans? Shorts? Denim capris?

It might get cold at night, so I will need a cardi or something.

IDEAS??

Sounds pretty casual??  What's the temp. supposed to be?  I'm assuming you'll be doing some walking so am I correct with no heels?

Congrats on the date going well - Good Luck!

Weather forecast: High of 79 and a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms.

I am so nervous because some of his friends will be there and I have to look good!

Def. not a skirt or heels if you have to walk and/or sit in the grass.

I would prob wear guachos or demin capris and cute cami or tshirt. You could wear something casual and plain and dress it up a little with jewelry..

I would wear flip-flops for the walking factor too.

I totally agree w/JoceyBaby on the outfit!  And definitely wear some flip flops.  You would be miserable sitting in grass in a skirt and heels.

By the way - I'm so jealous that your date looks like Stephen from LB!!!

i'd wear jeans for sure if you are going to be sitting on the grass--it would be really bad to get itchy hives on your legs if there's anything on that grass, like any pesticides.

jeez--"here comes debbie downer!"--sorry

do you know anything about the venue? this may sound counterintuitive but depending on the venue, a skirt (long) might actually work. i went to an outdoor concert on sunday and i wore a jersey material dress and i was so comfortable. i wasn't trying to be cute, but i knew that i was going to be outside and among a bunch of people and jeans would be too hot. so opted for something lightweight & flowy. i brought a beach towel to sit on, but ended up spending most of the time standing anyway.  my friend wore jeans and was complaining about how hot she was.

I agree with Bumblebee. I think jeans would be more comfortable. Grass = itchy.

Also, I think maybe capris or gauchos would look too "outfit-y" maybe? Meeting his friends for ann event like a concert, you might want to give the impression of being very "low maintenance." And for guys, that usually means jeans. Just a thought!

How about something like this? You want to be comfortable and cute but not look like you put any effort.  I'm thinking a tank, jeans, flipflops, and maybe a wooded or beaded necklace.
