i'm contemplating trying out kiehls skin care... i have used clinique and don't like it, used Mario badescu and while i liked it i got hives on my arms right around the same time so had to discontinue, and now am looking for a new brand.


i like simple routines, just wash/tone/moisturize. i don't really have extreme acne, just occasional pimples and redness.. i tried using philosophy purity made simple but definitely need a soap with acne fighting ingredients since i'd rather not use additional bp or salicylic stuff... so i was thinking about kiehls blue herbal cleanser ,with the calendula extract toner , and lotion with spf


does anyone have any experience with these products? thanks!

I never really got into their skin care line.  The only product I actually finished was the herbal toner w/mixed berries & extracts.



Found it was quite gentle on my combo/oily skin while the blue astringent was too harsh for my liking.

I did use this for awile along with their blue moisturizer.But I found after awile I was getting breakouts on my forehead....(at first it kept them at bay).If you are not prone to breakouts or anything....get it!It even gives you a nice tingly feeling when you wash your face. Now I use Philosophy's purity in combo with some other products!

carmenb- so you got new breakouts using the kiehls? or was it not strong enough to keep preventing ones you already had/were prone to?


i really only have occasional pimples, and a few more during my period- do you think this would work or no? what do you use along with purity, may i ask?

I've only used the lip balm and I like it.  I have used stuff from the DDF line and i really like it.  Maybe you can check that one out too.
