self-tanner rave

I've tried almost everything on the market, and I just found one I love! The L'Oreal Sublime Bronze tanning wipes.  You have to use two to cover your whole body, but it dries right away and doesn't get all goopy like the cream ones.

It smells slightly less hideous than others I have tried (though that DHA smell is never good) and the color is very nice and natural.  Anyway, just wanted to share.

very fair and freckly.  i just found out i have basal cell carcinoma, also, so self-tanner is going to become an integral part of my life, i guess.

I'd like to second this rave... funny thing is, I was just about to make the same post. I'm naturally fair, as well, but right now I have a tan... beautiful results both ways. I love the color I get, and I love how easy it is to apply.

I know, I miss Drew too.

As for the tanning wipes, do they streak at all?

I am sorry to hear that, bumblebee! Best wishes to you. My dad has gone through it multiple times; it sucks but you will get through it.

Thank you for posting this, though. I tried it yesterday and the color is really natural..and no streaking, although I missed a few spots. I am hoping it doesn't turn yellow on me like a lot of them do!

thanks, halley.  my dad has it, too--i have the genetics for it, so i was prepared that it would probably happen.  my days of hanging out in the sun are over, but that's ok.  i am finding that you can usually find shady areas no matter where you happen to be at the beach or pool.

so far so good on the color for me--it hasn't turned yellow or anything.  i've applied twice, just to keep the color, and it's staying on great!  i'm very impressed, actually.

That's what I am afraid of. I am going in for a full-blown skin check next week. *scared*

aww, don't be scared.  it's great that you are getting checked out, and if they catch anything (not that they are going to) if it's early enough it's not really a big deal (like mine).  if you have the genetic predisposition and live in a hot, sunny place (like we both do) it's just smart to go in and get yourself checked out, to put your mind at ease.
