Cropped Pants to wear with boots in fall

i had three pairs that i wore frequently last year that i bought from BCBG...which means that they're at the outlets this year! one was a black pair with pink dots (cute), one was a brown plaid pair (SUPER CUTE), and the other was a brown/black picque/checkered pair (didn't like these as much because they were thicker). BCBG has some this year, as well as gauchos. theory has some this year that were cute but $250. HTH!

sorry i always post BCBG but it's all i really know since i see their products once-twice a week.

last fall i managed to score a couple of pairs for really cute cropped pants from f21 for around $25. they've held up pretty well and one pair was even lined. (i think i'm going to wear a pair this week, so if i do i'll post a pic.) i also have some from intermix and the gap.

as far as this fall, i've actually seen some really cute pairs in the junior's dept. of jc penney in cute plaids. Product Image they also have some cropped gauchos in camel & a pine green cord.

Product Image these were the ones i saw, but you can't really see the detail. the cord felt pretty okay (sometimes cheap corduroy can be icky & stiff). the legs aren't as wide as they seem in the pic.

i think the lucky spread featured knickers. i really want a pair, and express had some for like $50 in a dark almost black denim. but i can't find them on their site.

A helpful tip when shopping for crops and boots this fall: Make sure the pant covers the top of the boot. You don't want to show any leg.

Nordstrom's BP department had the cutest cropped cord pants for about $30. I don't remember the brand (I think it started with an F), but they had little ties on the back pockets. They had chocolate, camel, blue, green and black, IIRC. I went to both Nordstroms in my city, and couldn't find anything smaller than a 5 though, and they're not online.

I just want to add something to Cortney's comment about the length of the pants-if you really want to be careful, make sure they are long enough, and the boots high enough, to still cover everything while you are sitting down, unless you are deliberately wearing cool tights underneath. I found out about this the hard way one day last year when I was sitting in class wearing cropped pants with a pair of high-but-not-high enough boots, and suddenly I looked down and saw a one-inch strip of skin poking out. It looked awful.

i'm definitely going to check out jcpenny and bp nordstrom's when i'm at the mall next. also will keep my eyes open for other things as they come out.

i went the check out those Vince pants at Bloomingdale's yesterday and they were definitely not worth $175!

but now i'm interested in these slightly longer Juicy pants (of course they are more expensive d'oh!) anyway, i'm still looking! just thought i would post a picture for reference.

love those juicy ones! Express had several pairs of cropped,cuffed pants last year -- I have one pair and I love them. I hope they bring them back.
