Help me pick a new bag...

I really could use a new decent-size leather handbag for fall.  It should be an everyday bag and i tend to prefer top-handle bags as opposed to shoulder bags.  Vote for any of these that you like, or feel free to post any suggestions of bags you like that are under $500 or so.  I'd like something fairly classic, but not boring, and i don't want to spend a ton of money. 


1.  Michael Kors bag, in black, on sale for $200


2.  Classic LV, but $560 and maybe too showy for me?


3.  BR, $200

All three of them are HOT, I know some of the ladies here have bag no. 2, but I really like bag no. 3 - I love that deep eggplant purple, very pretty. That's just me.

I have loved #1 for a long time...I have a Michael MK bag and the quality is great. However, I love #2 also, so I can't vote. I love the color of #3, but I have seen it in person and it's a little too "pebbly" for me.

I'm kinda torn between the Speedy and the BR, but I voted for the BR because that color is so pretty.   I think it will go with a ton of fall things and the price is nice.

Have to tried on the 30 because I did and thought it was HUGE, like a suitcase. Maybe try the smaller one before you buy but def. get the speedy!

I'm torn between the speedy and the br bag too.  I think the speedy is a GREAT investment..but if you're not 100% sure...I don't know if you should get it.  And the br is a fabulous color and the price is much better.  But i can't help but plug my recent bag purchase that I love:



It's a beautiful color for fall and is about $465 depending on where you buy it.

the speedy, it's such an investment piece that i feel like the extra $60 overbudget is justified.

The Michael Kors bag you like is at TJ Maxx for under $200. In case that makes a difference in your choice.


Did you try looking at coach. They have some great staple bags.

I'm so terribly biased (my threadstyle posts star my Speedy...) but I think the LV is really the best investment. I dunno, I like the style of the Michael Kors but never cared enough for the leather to buy one when I needed a black bag. I avoid all BR bags that cost more than like $20...the craftsmanship IMO has never really justified the selling price of them, but I haven't seen this one in person.


I like Seashells' second bag from Coach though...that sounds like it will fit your needs best and not be showy.
