So I found these shoes at Target and they look identical to the ones from Steve Madden. They are only $18.99 and come in black and bronze...so cute! Should I get them or is it lame that they are a knock off of Steve Maddens (which doesn't really bother me at all!)?
I saw them in person at Target and tried them on and they seemed cute. My only issue with Target heels is that they flop off the backs of my heels, but if I go down a size, they are too small.

Thanks for the review - I usually size down at Target too and then they fit fine. I think I'll go tonight and try them on just to be on the safe side. I just wanted to know what everyone thought of them.

I already do go down a size at Target, but I would have to go down two sizes for them to fit. Grrr. I like those shoes, though.

Wow - going down 2 sizes would suck! I meant I only go down a half size and then they fit fine. I hope I don't have this issue w/these shoes. They look so cute!

Well, by two sizes, I really mean 1 whole size, like I normally wear a 61/2 or 7, at Target it's definitely a 6 1/2, but those are still flopping off my foot. So, I should really get a 6 for the back of my foot, but then my toes feel cramped. Anyway, hopefully they will work out better for you!
Those are so cute - I didn't even see them in the store & I need some bronze shoes (they are on my fall wishlist). I don't think it matters that they are a knock off. As a matter of fact, I want these boots which seem to be a knock off from $400 Michael Kors boots from last season but I don't really care! Well, I also like that they aren't "just like them" so it doesn't seem as blatant. If you look at the weekend shopping post, I saw those brown shoes in Steve Madden too for nearly $90, but I didn't know they were a "knock off" until I had already bought them. I just thought YAY FOR ME!! for getting a similar pair cheaper.
So after all that, I say get them & be happy!!!

I saw those the other day and thought they were really cute. I got these others posted below that I really liked also. They have a few colors and match alot of things.
Grrr I'm so mad - I went to Target tonight and they had a total of 2 pairs of these shoes..both in bronze in way too small of a size for me I don't know if I should try another Target or order them online? It seems like most of you have been seeing them in the stores lately? Maybe it was just this target that was sold out?
They have black (and bronze) in my store...very cute, got them last night. -- Edited by Grace at 09:45, 2005-08-02
Thanks Grace - now I know that the black aren't only available online. I will head to the other Target tonight and cross my fingers. Did you get the black or the bronze?

I got the black...wearing them today. So far comfort is good. Getting lots of compliments too. I have a feeling they will be very versatile.

Great - I want the black too. Thanks for posting your review. I guess if I don't find them in the store, I'll just order them from the website.
They had a ton of both black and bronze in my store. I'm sure they'll restock. That's what happened over the summer with the gold cage shoes. They sold out quickly, but restocked a few weeks later.
Super cute, I would get them, but try them on first. Target shoes are great since they are so cheap, but because of that, you have to be careful. Honestly though, I don't even like Steve Madden shoes (I think they are uncomfortable and don't last long), so I think the Target ones would be just as good as the "real" ones.

It's funny you say that. Every pair (only like 3) of Steve Madden shoes I have ever bought killed my feet...literally made them bleed.
I agree about steve maddens being uncomfortable - I have quite a few pairs, but they are always a real bitch to break in. So yeah, I think Targets are probably just as good. Why do Steve Madden's have to be so uncomfortable? They have the best shoes!
