I'm going to a college alumni event. It's sort welcome to school party (before they actually get there) for the rising freshman and their families and a chance for local alumni to talk with them and each other. The RSVP list is online and there are going to be quite a few alums so it will be a great time to network and mingle (and maybe there will be cute boys there ).
I have no idea what to wear. It's a catered party at someone's home on a Monday night from 6-9. The invite said casual attire. Most people will be coming from work but what I wear to work is super casual. I want to look nice, polished, but not trying to hard and too casual. My mom suggested a sundress but I'm worried that might look too fussy. Any ideas?
I would actually play it safe and wear a pair of khaki pants. Even though it said casual, you are representing the school so you want to be well dressed and put together. And its always better to be over dressed than under.
How about this...
This way you aren't too dressed up for work either.
