So I want/need new bedding. I want something affordable... my old PB duvet has faded really bad after I washed it 1000 times while my kitten was in her peeing on the bed phase. After the industrial cleaning and vet visit, she doesn't do it anymore but you never know if it will come back.  I want something fairly traditional and not too fussy or overtly feminine (ie no pink or big floral prints). Obviously I'm drawn to shades of green. Here's what I've found so far.

1. JC Penney

I think in the picture it looks elegant, but it might just be the lighting. Also, does it look like the comforter has intentions in it? If so, is it cheesy?  I'm also worried about the quality (it isn't in stores) since it is from Penney's. But it's very affordable.

2. Pottery Barn

I don't think the pattern is as pretty as the above, but it will match the Euro shams and bed skirt I already have.

3. Anthropologie 1

I love kelly green but not a huge fan of the butterfly motif.

4. Anthropologie 2

This is pretty from far away but not so much up close.

***I realize I probably will never find something I think it perfect. But let me you know what you think of these. Also, if you see anything else in similar styles I'd love to see them.

TIA

I love the look of pottery barn bedding.  Crate and Barrel usually have stuff that is similar.  There is one in the Anthro catalogue I like but I think it is just way too pricey for me and I don't know if the ones you picked are the same way.

That said... I'm not sure about the quality of the JC Penny's one.  If it is anything like their bath towels then you shouldn't worry.  My moms towels from there have lasted 10+ years.  Do you know if the stores carry that same brand since they don't have that one so you can see it before you buy it?

Not sure what you want exactly price/quality wise but I was shocked at the nice duvet covers at IKEA of all places!  They were in the $50 or less range for the most part.  They had some really nice looking ones there.  I have not clue how long they will hold up and I didn't like their sheets but you wouldn't have to get sheets there.  I'm thinking of starting with one when I move next month so I at least have something covering my down comforter.

I had JcPenny bedding from the time I was 18 -23 - I thought it was really good quality and it lasted a long time.  I still have it as spare bedding just in case.  I definitely think you'd be happy w/their quality.  My mom has also gotten bedding from Penny's in the past and it's always lasted a long time for her too.

I love the first anthropologie bedding it would look awsome with pink throw pillows and a pink bed ruffle.

But that is for MY room Deadlyjane... SFC is preppy too, but not crazy like me!

Just kidding SFC, I agree the green is fantastic but the print is not. Out of them the pottery barn is the best, but let's keep looking.

I think the Pottery Barn one is the most versatile...it's a traditional print, but it seems a bit cleaner and more modern than the others.  I personally don't like everything matchy-matchy in a bedroom and I think this one would mix well with other colors and prints.

Here's the duvet from Anthro that I have and love.  The turquoise and brown color combo is really pretty and the brown keeps it from being "too girly."
