I need some help - I ordered a pair of $90 Salt Work jeans from RevolveClothing.com last Wed. night. They ship via the post office and it's says it's priority 2-3 day shipping. I went to usps.com to track my order and it says "your item arrived at 4:57am on July 23 at Chicago, IL 60657 (which is my city, state, zip)" but it doesn't say it was actually delivered to my address. Does this mean it was delivered to the post office so I should expect it probably today? I'm nervous that my package got lost or was delivered to the wrong place. Does anyone have experience w/tracking via usps.com? The info seems a little vague...
Sorry if this is stupid - I just don't want my jeans to be lost or stolen
were did you have them delivered? your house or your office? was someone there to sign for it?ups tracking is notoriously vague so i wouldn't be too concerned. i would just call them directly and speak with a rep.

Actually, it's not UPS, they are being shipped via the post office - mail. So I went to usps.com to track...
They are being delivered to my apt...since it's mail, no one would have to sign for them, they'd just leave them in my mailbox.
if it's the post office then it probably means that they're sitting there and will be delivered today. maybe you can call your local post office to confirm.
That always confuses me too. That message means they are at the post office. There should be another "en route" message (when they are on the mail truck)...the last message will be "delivered to ....". You'll probably get them today.
My Dad just retired from the Post Office, so I can assure you that those messages on the internet are completely vague and are not update properly or as often as they should be. If you don't receive them in another day, I would call.
Thanks girl - you're all making me feel better. I'm hoping that they will be at my house when I get home from work. If not, I will have to call tomorrow - but who should I call - the post office or Revolve Clothing? The problem w/calling the post office is, I live in Chicago, which has many, many post offices - I can narrow it down by the neighborhood I live in, but there are still about 5 that could have it.
We attempted to deliver your item at 10:55 am on July 23, 2005 in CHICAGO, IL 60657 and a notice was left. It can be redelivered or picked up at the Post Office. If the item is unclaimed, it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.
What does that mean? If they attempted to deliver it, why didn't anyone contact me or let me know? I don't understand how the post office attemps to deliver and fails w/out calling or buzzing my apartment? Is this like UPS where they leave a notice on my door I can sign for? So confused
Ok, I went back to usps.com and here's the newest status message left: Label/Receipt Number: 9101 8052 1390 7748 6917 02Status: Notice LeftWe attempted to deliver your item at 10:55 am on July 23, 2005 in CHICAGO, IL 60657 and a notice was left. it means they should have left a notice that they were there...some PO workers don't, though. I don't think the PO gives you an option to sign, but I could be wrong. I'd just pick it up if I were you, or call the PO and tell them they didn't leave any message.

halleybird - my issue is that they didn't leave a notice, therefore, I don't even know what post office to call?? I don't know where it's at. I called Revolve Clothing after I posted this and the woman I talked to told me that they have this issue a lot and that most times the mail man doesn't leave a notice and will attempt to deliver it again. I just don't get it. I have this bad feeling I'm not gonna get my package Stupid post office - I've never had this happen where they wouldn't just leave it by my mailbox.
