Opinion on Dress

I really like the style but I'm not too fond of the print. It looks too much like camouflage to me. I know Diane vonFurstenberg had a dress out like this but it was a solid lavender color.

While I agree with the "camouflage" comment, I think it's very pretty. I love the idea of bronze or gold accessories.

Good luck with your reunion - I cried the whole way home from mine - I had lost a lot of weight & was dressed so cute & my bumpkin classmates voted me "most aged" - I gotta tell you, if it was true, it'd be one thing - but those chicks were HOMELY. I think I just looked too sophistocated for their little brains. I will NEVER go back those a**holes!!!!!

Oh,

I love that dress. Reminds me of a desert watercolor - beautiful earthtones with a small splashes of color. I really dont see "camo" when i look at it. The hints of pink are fantastic.

ARE YOU SERIOUS??? That's such crap. What kind of vote is that? That's awful. Leave the cattiness in high school people. I swear, I will never go to hs reunion. So sorry that happened to you laken1.

Sorry to hijack your post Colette. I just re-read mine & I realize it sounds a little "WHAA WHAA tear in my beer" - But i just can't help it - I think about it every single time i hear the words "class reunion"

And yes, that did happen. I had borrowed an outfit from one of my truly most stylish friends who had spent a fortune on it - I looked GREAT (if i may say so myself) - but I grew up in a small town & had maybe 150 people in my graduating class, a majority of which stay put. Of course the people who moved away & may be fashionable were not in attendance so...

Worst part is, I didn't vote at all because the categories were mean & catty. I wouldn't participate, so that may have been some of the issue. They pulled me on stage & I was awarded with a "skin care" package - it was truly terrible. I was cheerleading captain, homecoming, etc in high school, so I have to tell myself it was just "pay back" but it was AWFUL.

Again, tear in my beer, but true.

Oh god Laken I feel soooo terrible for you. People can be so mean sometimes especially when they are jealous! I swear I'd die if they did anything like that to me.

I like the style a lot, but I'm not crazy about the pattern & color. but that's just my personal taste. if you love it, go for it - it's very pretty & a perfect dress to have for different occasions.

the dress is really pretty -- and i like the pattern. i wonder how the top would fit in real life though. i tried on a similar cut/style shirt recently and it just looked weird on me. the looseness wasn't flattering -- just something to think about.
