We picked out the stone for my engagement ring. It's awesome, but now SO isn't letting me know anything that goes on. He knows the settings I like and he's working with the jeweler himself now. I can't wait to see the final product since he's the one picking out the final setting. Plus I have no idea on the time frame, so I'll be somewhat surprised when the ring comes in and he pops the official question.
I start a new job on Monday. It's a little more money and a little more responsibility, but it will quickly become something I acn do with my hands tied behind my back. But, my future employer knows that and is already thnking of ways to expand the position and put my skills to use! I love the idea of a new job, new people, new building, new neighborhood - yay!
Also, I finally have a yearning to get out in my yard and garden (the urge hit late this season) so my gardens will look fab in no time!
The hardest part of my work year is finally over and it's so nice to have 2 day weekends and evenings back!
My SIL has booked a largish catering job and hired me to assist. It means a bit of fun money in my pocket and I enjoy the change of pace.
I'm looking forward to spending more time outside now that Chicago is actually getting a Spring this year. I've gotten to grill a few times and can't wait until the Farmer Markets open.
I'm also extremely thankful that everyone in my family is healthy and drama free. I know that not everyone is so lucky and I need to make sure that I appreciate times like this.

Hubby and I just bought a new house about a month ago and we totally love it. I love the layout and I'm super excited to decorate it and make it ours. The neighbors seem awesome and overall we're really happy with it.
Hubby and I also just got back from an awesome trip to Seattle and we had a blast. It was really great to get away for a week with no other obligations than to eat, drink, and play tourists.
I was selected to participate in the Poppytalk Handmade Paper Pops Market during the month of May. And several months ago I moved from Western MA to Boston and i'm having a great time!!
We are doing PR for a documentary film and this week we had interest from editors at some MAJOR magazines - Reader's Digest, Prevention, Time Magazine, Woman's Day, Family Circle. So that's been awesome...now we just have to hope they like the film and write something good!
I have a job interview tomorrow AND my head hunter left me a message for a job lead this afternoon. I'm so nervous for tomorrow though, I feel like barfing/crying/laughing all at the same time.
I just a job offer from a major IT firm. I am so excited and I feel like this will be what I need to add more credibility to my resume and eventually lead to me doing my own thing as an independent consultant
