ISO graduation heels

I need help finding some comfy heels... I have 2 graduation ceremonies in May, and I'll be wearing a navy graduation gown. I'm pretty bad at walking in anything higher than 3 - 3.5 inches, and apparently the first ceremony has a long stage involved, so I don't want to trip! I'm really not sure what color(s) to look for... Any ideas appreciated - thanks!

My first thought is nude heels. I'm guessing that you don't have a dress to go with the shoes yet? Nude heels would go with the gown and most dresses.

Consider an ankle strap so they stay on well and you will be less likely to trip of the heel isn't slipping.

Thanks for the suggestions, boots. I hadn't thought of nude. I have not yet bought a dress.

Kel - I do like the idea of silver, or gold (my school colors are navy/golden).

GD - thanks - I do tend to walk better in something with an ankle strap.
