i saw where you compared the Express Publicist pants to the Alvin Valley pants...


i recently bought a pair of publicists and thought they were the best pants that Express has... exactly HOW similiar would you say the AVs are?  After August, I have the green light to invest in a really great pair of work pants and i am thinking the AV will be for me...

The fit is very similar, although AV has a slightly lower rise than the Publicists (I need that lower rise b/c of short torso).


I think the difference in is all the little things.


The Alvin Valley pants have a much nicer feel to the fabric...Express pants in the stretch fabric they use is a bit crunchy or something. Also, everything in the AV pants is attached more strongly...the zipper is easier to use...it's little things. I love those pants, but IMO they're better gotten at a sale or a place like Off 5th rather than full price at a boutique.
