Hi girls,

I very recently single and am going out with my girls this weekend. One night we are hitting an outdoor French festival. And then another night, we might go to a club or a bar.

I want to socialize with boys ... not looking for anything but conversation right now ...
What should I wear?

I want to look pretty, cute, confident ... not slutty or "hellooo look at me."

I am sort of petite, olive skin, dark hair and eyes.

Well, I have some jeans I like, but I can't really wear them with comfortable shoes (for the festival) because they are tailored to be worn with heels.


I have a pair of white linen pants I can wear with lower shoes.


I also have a couple of skirts and dresses.


I just don't know what's best, what would look best, you know?


So I guess I am wondering what you guys would wear if you were me.

Simple. Nothing fussy or gadgety or obviously attention-getting. And find one part of your body to focus on - subtly - and let everythign else fade into the background. My best flirting outfit right now is a scoop-necked, lightly-beaded black T that makes my boobs (which are small, but I think they're cute lol) look so perky. I wear it with tailored jeans and these black-and-white lace shoes. The shoes are subtle, but a conversation piece if I happen to, you know drop a sweater in front of him and he has to reach down to pick it up (so scarlett o'hara, but guys don't care). If your arms are toned, maybe a white tank with jeans or a jean skirt (you said your jeans only work with heels) and a subtly interesting wide belt or sash? Oh, and a lot of guys have a thing for sundresses - this might be the sort of event where you could work that look?
