I live in a condo and my landlord is deciding to sell the place, meaning I need a new one. But there is nothing under a $1,000 which is sooo much money. Right now I live w/ a roommate and we pay $925. I don't know what to do. I need to find a roommate but I am just so freakin picky. I don't think i am actually asking a question, just more like venting. thanks!

rent sucks, it totally boggles my mind how much i spent on rent while in college.  good thing im living at home right now.  i shared a room all throughout college to save money, which was ok since my roommate basically lived with her bf and used the room just to house her stuff.  i understand though, looking for a new place sucks :(

Do you have the means to buy a place? Usually the mortgage and maint. add up to less what you would rent it for.

Buying a place wouldn't be to bad and I looked at the options but down here a 2/2 condo is going for like at least $270,000. And seeing I don't have a job (full-time student) my parents would be buying it. And that much money just doesn't seem worth it right now.
