I'm on a hunt for brown leather boots for fall/winter.  Comfy but also fashionable.  These are in my budget.  Any thoughts welcome.

I'm not super-crazy about them ... do you need heavy boots for snow? The second pair is cute in an equestrian sort of way, though. I like the idea of the Bronx ones but not the sole/heel.

If I HAD to pick one, I would say the Rockports, but I'm not feeling any of them either.  I'd keep looking.

I tried the Rockports on last year and liked them alright- but they were tight in my calves.  Its not a bad price though and if they are from Zappos, you can easily return them.  Those are the only ones I like- I have a similiar pair of Ariats (fatbaby?) and they are the COMFIEST boots- mine are black though, I'm just not crazy about the brown- they remind me of slippers.  Do they come in a darker brown?
