i have one pair of jeans and they kinda are too big on me now. so after my ban, i'm going to definitely have to invest in some jeans. i feel like i'm out of the loop - jean-wise. it seems like there are all these brands that have popped up recently that i have no idea about!
please help! need suggestions! just post your favorite fits, styles, whatever for inspiration.
My best fitting pair of jeans is the COH Naomi. I love them, they are perfect. And I'm only 5'2 and I didn't even have to hem them (although I wear them only with heels).
Other favorites are Salt Works Orchard St, Joe's Socialite and Seven Dojo.
This weekend I tried the Salt Works Avenue A flare and Joe's Socialite- they both fit perfectly, sooo sooo sooo rare for my body with my big-ish thighs and smaller waist. I tried these washes:
The salt jeans (top) actually fit a tad better. Hope that helps!
I adore my new True Religions. I got them on sale at a boutique for $69 (marked down from $172!). They are very low rise, but they fit very very well, which is shocking since I am short and I have a butt and thighs.:)
I also love my COH Ingrids, I am actually needing a new pair of those, and I also love my true religion joeys, though they are a bit more fitted and low!
I think they run really true to size. What I wear now are Joe's Socialites, COH Naomis, Ingrids, and Kellys. I love how my COHs fit but I think they are kinda becoming passe so I want a new, less popular brand. What I want... a pair of Habituals because I love how they look on other people, and/or Antiks because they have cool pockets (my brother has a pair of these so I might just steal those ).
Right now I love wearing my lightweight denim Gap pants. Best of all they were only $12! I would have paid so much more for these, since the fit and look if fabulous! I do need to find a good fitting pair of denim for fall. I'm willing to drop some good cash if I find my dream pair.
Since my Macy's isn't going to carry the juniors Tommy Hilfiger line anymore, I will have to search harder to find good fitting jeans. I see a weekend shopping trip to Portland, OR (no tax)! I can save a lot of money there if I buy most of my fall things at that time.
I love my J. Crew jeans! They fit like they were custom made for me (and I have a difficult time finding jeans that fit me well). At the J. Crew store in Troy, MI they will shorten your jeans at no additional cost...I'm not sure if this is a service that all of the J. Crew stores offer. The stitching stays intact...can't tell that they were shortened.
Hip-slung jeans in indigo aged wash Soft Japanese ringspun cotton denim with light handsanding, abrasion, and minimal drilling. Sit on hips. Fitted through the hip and thigh, with bootcut leg. Belt loops. Zip fly. Traditional five-pocket styling. USA. Machine wash. Short sizes 26-33 come with 31" inseam. Regular sizes 26-35 come with 33" inseam.
Well, I used to love Seven for all Mankind...but recently I went in to find a new pair and NONE of them fit the way they used to. The DOJOs were still cute on and fit correctly.
I love Rock and Republic Scorpions...I'll probablly get them the next time Bloomie's has a private sale. I also like Salt Works Orchard St and I'm still a huge True Religion Joey girl.
I tried Edun and didn't like it...was terrible on my curves (big butt, some hips, wee bit of tummy, big thighs)
